Be a Warrior in the Garden

Dec 2, 2025

I came across a post by Sahil Bloom on X this morning, and the key insight struck me: “It’s better to be a warrior in the garden than a gardener at war.” (https://x.com/SahilBloom/status/1995892784025174109?s=20) The point being that prepared for battle gives a warrior the ability to peacefully tend to a garden and enjoy the experience.

And then there was another post from Kurt Supe, who focuses on retirement planning and wealth creation, which noted, “Not being a burden requires planning. Good intentions + no plan = maximum burden.” (https://x.com/KurtSupeCPA/status/1995840381833863323?s=20)

Seeing how these two posts are related doesn’t take much of a stretch. If we want to help our parents, our grandparents, ourselves, and our children, we must ensure that we are getting our estate in order so that the inevitable inheritance process allows the family, not lawyers, not probate courts, not the government, to thrive.
