Please note: If you are a new customer, we can begin sharing your information 30 days from the date you receive this notice. When you are no longer our customer, we can continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.

What We Do

How does Forward Financial Inc. protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with industry standards and applicable laws and regulations. These measures include computer safeguards and secured cloud storage.

We restrict access to your personal information to those employees who need to know it to provide products and services to you.

How does Forward Financial Inc. collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Link your third-party bank and other financial accounts
  • Give us your income or other financial information
  • Apply for a home equity investment product

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, nonaffiliates, or other companies.

Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.


Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Our affiliates include Forward Financial Access, Inc.

Non-affiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Non-affiliates we share with can include financial services companies, certain marketing partners, service providers, consumer reporting agencies, investors, database providers, and others.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Our joint marketing partners include financial services companies and other types of marketing partners.


Other Important Information

For California Residents

We will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law, including, for example, with your consent or to service your account. We will limit sharing with our affiliates to the extent required by California law.

For Vermont Residents

We will not disclose information about your creditworthiness to our affiliates and will not disclose your personal information, financial information, credit report, or health information to nonaffiliated third parties to market to you, other than as permitted by Vermont law, unless you authorize us to make those disclosures.
